Eric Sargent has recently joined Functionize as their head of sales. In this role, he will be responsible for global direct sales efforts and shaping the companies go to market strategy. Eric brings over a decade of leadership experience in the software quality space having led teams at SmartBear Software from the formative early years of the company through massive growth, international expansion and a successful acquisition by Francisco Partners. Most recently Eric served as Panorama Education’s VP of Sales, building out the EdTech start-up’s sales team before returning to his roots in software development and testing tools with Functionize.

In his free time, Eric enjoys skiing, mountain biking and chasing the glory of his youth on the soccer field. A lifelong guitar player, music remains a personal passion as well. He is also an active member of the Endicott College Board of Advisors.
