Dennis Ashby serves as the Vice President of Strategic Partnership, Customer Success & Growth at Functionize, a pioneering Silicon Valley startup that empowers Development and QE teams to seamlessly create, execute, and troubleshoot automated end-to-end tests with Generative AI technology.
Before his current role at Functionize, Dennis was the Global Vice President of Sales at IBM’s Expert Labs, where he led global sales initiatives focusing on AI, Data, and Automation consulting services. His extensive responsibilities included driving revenue growth, formulating global sales strategies, analyzing key sales metrics, engaging with major clients, and leading business development efforts across the ecosystem.
Dennis has a rich history of leadership roles, particularly noted during his tenure at IBM, which commenced following a strategic acquisition. He has spent over twenty years building and leading high-performance teams within both startup environments and mid-sized tech companies, contributing to landmark projects that range from the first banking e-commerce platforms and mobile applications to innovations in artificial intelligence.
Originally from Queens, New York, Dennis graduated from Hofstra University with a BS in Computer Science, where he specialized in Discrete Mathematics. He now resides in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he continues to influence the tech industry through his unique combination of technical expertise and leadership acumen.
