Business Development Representative (BDR)

Functionize is the leading provider of AI-powered software testing solutions revolutionizing the testing landscape through our innovative technology. We are currently seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing Enterprise Sales Team.

Position Summary

Business Development Representatives (BDRs) serve as an integral part of our sales engine and support the Enterprise Sales Team in identifying and qualifying new business opportunities. This role will have a direct impact on our revenue growth and will require a high degree of self-motivation, proactivity, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Outreach

  1. Lead Generation: Conduct outbound calls, emails, and social media outreach to target prospects and set up initial discovery calls.
  2. Qualify Leads: Assess the needs and challenges of prospective customers through discovery calls, and determine how our solutions could address those needs.
  3. CRM Management: Utilize Hubspot  to track interactions, maintain customer data, and manage the sales pipeline.
  4. Segmentation and Retargeting: Identify dormant or lost leads and initiate re-engagement strategies.
  5. Email Outreach: Execute targeted email campaigns to nurture and convert leads.

Collaboration & Reporting

  1. Teamwork: Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to develop and execute targeted campaigns.
  2. Weekly Reports: Produce and maintain detailed activity reports and provide them to sales management on a weekly basis.
  3. Data Analysis: Regularly review data analytics reports to understand the effectiveness of sales efforts and to understand market trends.

Customer Interaction

  1. First-Line Response: Serve as the first line of contact for inbound inquiries from prospective customers.
  2. Product Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of our product offerings through regular trainings and demos.

Additional Duties

  1. Follow-Up: Timely follow-up with prospects to advance opportunities through the sales funnel.
  2. Market Research: Keep an eye on market trends and competitors to inform sales strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in SaaS or technology sales.  Ideally some understanding of Software Quality Testing and development lifecycle.
  • Experience with CRM software, preferably Hubspot.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.
